Project Details

This project was based in forest town Mansfield, we have done previous work for these customers in the past which came recommended from their neighbour. The customer had a rough idea of what they wanted. They knew they wanted to remove the conifers and have a wall built and wanted the privacy, but not to block the space up completely, so I suggested about having cedar cladding with a space in between each timber to give that bit of privacy, aswell as letting that bit of light through. We started by removing the conifers and had them removed by a local tree surgeon, the next stage was to dig out for the footings required for a double skin wall and get the concrete poured, once the footing set of it was time to start building the wall, I suggested to the customers to break up the colours in the wall to give it some contrast so we added some blue bricks to finish the top of the walls and coping stones to the top of the pillars.

Once the wall had time to set off we went back to start the cedar cladding, myself, my team and the customers have been looking forward to this stage since we agreed on the finish as the cedar cladding was going to fit in and not look out of place with the scenery around the property. After installing the cedar cladding all that was left to do was re level the garden.
